Personal Log of Severus Stig == Log 190822 == Our group departs our cruiser ship aboard a drop-ship, piloted by a young girl. The Adjudicator reminds me this is the same girl who had transported us during the events on Tallrus III; on closer inspection she does seem more familiar than the average citizen I encounter. Without proper data transfer however, I cannot rule out the possibility that it is merely the same meat shell. I will remain cautious of this. On our way down through the planet's atmosphere, we hit some turbulence caused by the local weather patterns, which take us all by surprise save for the Spacer. My internal servos are not able to compensate and I fall into the pile of bodies with my co-workers. Once we have landed, some strange woman approaches the ship and greets us with bodily contact, naming us as her blood relatives. This is entirely false, however I notice the crowd of people surrounding our group are eyeing us suspiciously and I remember the instructions from Inquisitor Darius to avoid causing "scenes", so I remain quiet in hopes that the event will pass without incident. The woman - whom we learn her name is Julia - leads us to her domicile and we wait for a meeting with her father inside a great hall. It is decorated with a plethora of deceased animals from around the sector, as well as some humans (also deceased, presumably). I gather from some of my cohorts that this is not normal behavior of a noble, so I continue to be on alert while studying some of the more interesting specimens. The nobleman Rochard Callidus whom we have come to meet arrives, and offers us libations, which we all gladly accept for it has been an odd and stressful hour since arriving planet-side. I am delighted that lubrication spirits are available and proceed to quench my solenoids' thirst. Whilst imbibing, we learn of our duties to this individual: that we are to locate his niece, an individual named Saia. She was last seen with in the company of Mistress Uriel a few months ago, and he suspects involvement with the cult of the Verdant Shine that is prevalent on the planet. Uriel will be holding a ball - some sort of party event that nobles hold for each other - and we shall be attending incognito in order to ascertain information about Saia's whereabouts (or perhaps confront Uriel should evidence provide itself beforehand). It was decided that I shall play the part of a wandering performer, as my stature and mannerisms were deemed to difficult to conceal in any believable fashion. I shall have to spend some time beforehand planning my performance. Once the planning has been settled, we decide to meet with an associate of Callidus in the lower parts of the city, at some place called the Barking Saint. We find the man by himself in a booth, and he motions for us to approach him. The man known as Ignace discloses that he has procured some sort of device from the Verdant cult that they use as part of their testing and rituals, and shows it to us inside a small, unassuming box. The Spacer and I study it for a few moments but it is quickly apparent that it is some sort of portable warp-detection device, mini-fied to an impossible size. This is wholly exciting to me, and I must have this device to study - perhaps elements can be grafted to Skullvitor in order to help his healing process? The man wanes, claiming it has cost him much to procure this device and wishes for compensation. I am eager to provide any amount, but my co-workers seem less so willing. The Spacer manages to convince him - normally or through psychic coercion I am unsure - to sell us the device for a more reasonable amount. I quickly offer him 200 thrones for it and he accepts, and I stash the small box within my robes for later. I will have to thank the Spacer for his help in the matter. Perhaps something can be done about that terribly frail skeleton he has.
